The A&W story is the classic American tale. What started as a mom-and-pop shop in Nashville, Tennessee is now a high-end custom millwork and upholstery shop serving clients nationwide.
We’re still headquartered just outside of Music City. Still family owned and operated. And always known for quality work, unparalleled customer service, and true client collaboration.
These days, A&W works primarily with contractors and builders to serve hospitality brands big and small across the country. We also maintain long-term relationships with several luxury interior designers and design firms, bringing custom furniture touches to life in Dallas, Atlanta, New York, and everywhere in between.
Whether it’s forty-three custom restaurant booths for a downtown hotspot or a one-of-a-kind chaise lounge for a celebrity’s foyer, your project becomes our project. A&W will always be more than a boutique or workroom: we’re talented team players who are passionate about your success.

Meet the Team
One thing hasn’t changed in more than a half-century of business: Communication is key. When you work with A&W, you’ll work directly with Bubba, the owner, Cortney and Jennifer, our client project manager.
Bubba Austin, Owner
Bubba’s parents founded A&W in the ‘60s. By the time he was 10 years old, Bubba was already learning the upholstery trade the old-fashioned way: behind the sewing machine.
Bubba gained experience working for various types of manufacturing companies before eventually taking over the family business in 1996. Since then, he has grown the company from a small upholstery shop into a respected furniture manufacturing company with a solid national reputation.
